Gateway Studio is an Arts based Community Interest Company based in the heart of Gateshead Town Centre. Situated on the High Street, you will find a relaxed, creative and welcoming environment.
We offer weekly dance and fitness classes which allows our community to develop their love of dance whilst looking after their health and well being.
As a Community based Company, Gateway Studio offers classes and workshops in the local community. This maintains our ethos that everyone should have access to high quality dance training.
We also provide a much needed space for local Artists. We help nurture and support their talents, provide networks and contacts in the professional world and rehearsal space at affordable prices.
Our specialism is working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, Looked after Children and young people with behavioural problems. We run educational courses and projects in partnership with Gateshead Council's LAC department.
We provide professional dance training to young people through our Youth Dance Programme and our Gifted and Talented Phoenix Academy NE. These exceptional dancers have access to over 35 years of professional international dance experience.

Our iconic Trinity Building is being redeveloped with the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Gateway Studio is a rapidly growing Gateshead-based dance organisation, and there are plans to develop its grade 1-listed venue into a centre of arts, heritage and community. This is made possible through a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant, which is the first step of a £1.2 million project.
We are looking for a Project Manager to co-ordinate this project and ensure that all parts of the capital project, heritage programme and funding requirements can be delivered:
The ideal applicant will require:
Strong project management skills
Excellent communications, relationship and negotiating skills
Ability to use project and finance spreadsheet tools
Experience of heritage and construction projects
Experience of fundraising
18 hours per week, initial 3-month contract
